Accounting & treasury officer

House of HR logo with baseline

Would you like to combine accounting and treasury in one broad role within an international group? And do you want to help build a finance environment where automation and AI are already part of everyday work? Then this role as Accounting & Treasury Officer (M/F/X) at House of HR in the Kortrijk region is well worth discovering.

About House of HR

House of HR is an international European group specialised in Specialised Talent Solutions and Engineering & Consulting, consisting of ten PowerHouses and more than 40 Boutiques joining forces to connect talent and dreams with companies that want to move forward. The group combines entrepreneurship, innovation and growth with a dynamic, future-oriented mindset. Our corporate finance team is strongly focused on finance transformation: digitalisation, automation and continuous optimisation of our accounting and treasury processes.

Your Role

In this role you work closely with the Finance Manager and the Head of Treasury. You support the financial follow-up and the cash and liquidity management of several corporate entities. Your time is split equally between accounting and treasury (50/50) and you are part of both teams. This is not a classic people-management role: your focus is on analysis, quality and reporting.

You step into a role with real depth: you don't just execute, you link your financial insights to improving, automating and digitalising our processes.

Your responsibilities

Accounting

  • Analysing movements on balance sheet and P&L accounts and clearly mapping the underlying causes
  • Supporting the accounting follow-up of several corporate entities and helping safeguard the quality of financial data
  • Contributing to the monthly and annual closing, audit preparation and financial reporting
  • Supporting group reporting and non-statutory accounting, including more complex topics such as IFRS 16
  • Playing an active role in cross-charging corporate costs to the various business units, and helping find more efficient ways of collecting, processing and reporting data

Treasury

  • Monitoring the cash and liquidity position of an international group and helping ensure the smooth execution of treasury payments
  • Contributing to cash forecasting and treasury reporting to the CFO and management
  • Supporting the optimisation of working capital and financing, including factoring programmes and cash pools in several countries
  • Following up intercompany financing and managing the bank administration (accounts, mandates, guarantees)
  • Getting involved in projects such as refinancings and M&A transactions

Across both domains

  • Identifying opportunities for process optimisation, standardisation, automation and digitalisation within accounting and treasury
  • Contributing to finance transformation projects, with attention to BI and AI applications
  • Delivering ad hoc analyses to support finance and management
  • Acting as a point of contact for the auditors and supporting questions on reporting and financial data

Your profile

  • You hold a Master's degree in a finance-related field, or a Bachelor's degree with a few years of experience
  • You have at least some first relevant experience (accounting, treasury, controlling, audit or consulting)
  • You are strong in numerical analysis and can explain financial movements logically, critically and clearly
  • You feel comfortable in a role at the crossroads of accounting, treasury, reporting and process improvement
  • You work accurately and in a structured way, with a strong focus on quality
  • You have a pronounced interest in digitalisation, automation and more efficient finance processes
  • Experience with, or interest in, Power BI, AI tools such as Claude, or finance technology is a real asset
  • You have a very good knowledge of Excel; experience with an ERP system (e.g. Microsoft Business Central) is a plus
  • You communicate fluently in Dutch and English
