Nowjobs was founded in 2017 within the House of HR Group as a subsidiary of the 'PowerHouse' Accent, with the purpose of being a 100% digital temp agency. Since 2019, the company has been active in the Netherlands and as of 2021 also in France. In 2022, NOWJOBS started expanding to Germany, but they turned this decision around for the time-being because of prioritization needs. In 2023, NOWJOBS strengthened its presence in France after the merger with StaffMe.
How a regular day looks like as Chief Product Officer?
The CPO will lead the Product Management organization within NOWJOBS (10 FTE), consisting of:
- Business Analysts
- Product Managers
- UX/UI Specialists
- Data Scientists
The CPO will report directly to Jeroen Van de Broek, the CEO of NOWJOBS and will collaborate closely with the two Business Leads and the CIO of NOWJOBS.
Specific responsibilities
The Chief Product Officer will be in charge of defining and executing NOWJOBS'
product vision and strategy. The CPO will play an essential part in developing a product driven
culture and ensuring that technology, business and product are seamlessly
aligned.
He/she will play a crucial role in ensuring that NOWJOBS product development aligns
with business objectives and meets candidate & customer needs. He/she will own and
deliver on the product roadmap, with the ability to translate strategic vision into tangible
product initiatives.
The tasks and responsibilities of the Chief Product Officer include:
- To develop and implement a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with NOWJOBS' business objectives;
- to conduct market research to identify customer & candidate needs, competitive trends, and innovation opportunities by integrating usability studies, A/B testing, usage data, research, and market analysis into product requirements;
- to translate strategy & analysis into a product development roadmap;
- to oversee the entire product lifecycle, from conception to launch (including ideation, scope, specification, prioritization, design, implementation, quality assurance, launch and iteration);
- to ensure delivery of intuitive & impactful products within promised timelines, meeting quality and customer satisfaction standards;
- to collaborate closely with marketing, sales and operational teams to ensure seamless go-to-market strategies and consistent messaging;
- to establish key performance indicators to measure product performance and make data-driven decisions. To drive product performance, product usage, user satisfaction, retention, engagement and revenue;
- To manage the product budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to achieve strategic objectives;
- To lead and mentor the product management team (10 FTE), fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement;
And you are?
- Has experience with having full ownership over a business-critical digital application/platform and with managing the full product life cycle (both in terms of user story, product requirements and product marketing).
- Understands the fundamentals and methodologies of product management and is able to apply these to the product vision and strategy.
- Is strong in terms of customer/consumer-centric thinking and is able to incorporate feedback from both customers and consumers in every product lifecycle stage.
- Has experience in leading product management teams and is able to motivate, coach and steer his employees towards the same goal and objectives;
- Has experience in drawing up the strategy and vision for a product, creating a clear roadmap (both long-term and shorter-term) and instilling this across the organization.
- Has experience with working closely together with business and IT and stimulating cross-collaboration and information-sharing with other teams to create product success.
- Has experience in a start-up or scale-up context, where the focus is on entrepreneurship and taking ownership.
